DGHV Phase 2 is Namibia’s first commercial-scale green ammonia and fertiliser facility, converting renewable sunshine and wind into clean energy products that feed the nation, create jobs, and position Namibia at the forefront of the global green hydrogen economy.
Daures Green Hydrogen Village Phase 2 (DGHV Phase 2) is Namibia’s first commercial-scale green ammonia and ammonium sulphate fertiliser production facility, located in the Dâures Constituency of the Erongo Region. Built on 15,000 hectares of arid, un-farmable land, the project harnesses Namibia’s world-class solar and wind resources to produce clean industrial inputs that would otherwise depend on fossil fuels and expensive imports.
DGHV Phase 2 is more than an energy project. It is an economic development catalyst for Namibia, creating jobs, strengthening food security, supporting local communities, and demonstrating that green industrialisation is possible right here in the desert.
